  Yes, on regular box you are guaranteed a 4 star or better by 12 th box and counter resets immediately when you pull one.
  
  Special box the counter doesn’t reset until 12th box regardless if you pull any 4 star or better, you will get the guarantee pull on 12 th box as well

  I'm confused by what you mean by 5.7 and 5.8.  You mean the round and level?

  I believe The difference is the special box resets on 12th box open. The regular box resets if a 4 star or better is pulled.
