Delayed Swing

Numerous club and forum members are reporting an issue with the batter's swing being delayed half a second (or more) after tapping the screen.  The issue seems to get exponentially worse as you progress levels in WOH.  Ie the delay is worse at X.9 than it is at X.5

This issue has also started showing up in all the other modes, and basically renders manual batting impossible. 

I've personally tested this on multiple wifi networks, as well as 4G.  Restarted router, phone, emptied cache.  Device has plenty of storage. 

But again, there are numerous users reporting this same issue.  I've stopped all spending on the game as a result, because even if I land the players I want, I can't even use them in the modes I care most about.

    This is something I don't have any real response for yet as I reported it last week when you PM'ed me, but I'll see if I get a response.

    The majority of tickets that have reported similar issues are on iPhone 7s and older, and well, CS obviously can't tell people to get a new phone, but as a realist, that's what the situation is. 

    You did tell me you're on an XR, so again, this is something I'll keep a close eye on as it's passed around.

    Why doesn’t it surprise me that the official statement is get a new phone, same garbage we get from CS.  I have an XR and have the same problem.  I would of sent @blueleopard pm as well, but the last one I sent got ignored 🤷🏻‍♂️.


    I'm confused by what you mean by 5.7 and 5.8.  You mean the round and level?

    Yes, if it isn’t showing on your phone you probably need a new one.

    Is there any update on this?  It’s getting really old losing games because when you tap on the screen your batter doesn’t even bother to swing

    Not sure if this is a helpful update or not @[GLU SPORTS] Blueleopard

    but this issue got roughly 80% better for a few weeks, and then suddenly returned last week with a vengeance.

    however, was thinking this morning....I don’t remember it being an issue at all yesterday.  Although the glitching and crashing was off the charts, whatever was done about the delayed swing appears to have worked

    I don't really have a say or know a whole lot about what goes into the code or tuning. I just report what I see, and I'll report that too. ;)

    This issue was back with a VENGEANCE tonight.  Progressively worse as rounds progressed.  Cost me several losses at 5.9 tonight as we were trying to battle it out in our bracket.

    Can you let the Dev team know this issues is still unresolved after the update please?

    This has been on my report for a month with nobody else really backing it, and that includes the CS folks that literally see every complaint. The majority of iOS users since the update have seen snappy response times when it comes to lag, so it's really sounding like your connection/phone are inconsistent.

    It strangely didn't happen once yesterday.  That's a TSB20 first for me.  No changes in device etc.

    I'll ask some of the other guys that were seeing this, but it appears SOMETHING got resolved. In any event, I'm grateful

    Well.  I spoke too soon.  This issue was back with a vengeance tonight.  9 PM on...every batter level on 5.6 and higher had this.  

    1) it oddly never shows up in X.8-X.10 of any of the first three rounds.  Little bit on level 4.8-4.10

    2) WOH ends, and the issue is magically gone for the Extra Bases event.  Sitting in the same chair, same device, same network.  Game mode changes, and the issue disappears

    I think sometimes Glu thinks were a bunch of kids playing this game that aren't capable or intelligent enough to troubleshoot a problem. I connected to an Isolated access point on my wifi network (that I control) and made sure no one else could connect to it. I made sure the bandwidth allocation was set to high,  I ended all apps, I restarted my phone, to experience the same issue, I dare you to tell me its my wifi and not your craptacular app.

    Oh..also this was at 9:00pm last night and I was at work to finish up a few things so there was zero traffic, the SQL Backups don't kick off til 1:00am

    Back again today.

    Can someone please explain to me why this BS ONLY SHOWS UP at 5.10?????

    Manually playing half of the levels to conserve cash and I only get screwed by this when it really counts.  Gold flushed down the tubes.
