The odds on the boxes are disgusting

Seriously, it has gotten to a point of absolutely ridiculous. Ok fine, they want to have the top player in the box at 1%... but now all the primes in the box are at 2-3%!? What a joke, by this time last year there were only primes and legends in the boxes and the odds were more realistic at least for the prime players. The 250 gold box is even worse, not even worth gold as we have all agreed. On top of all that, the skills are hot garbage on everyone except Reggie Jackson. Just like the Doc Smart Ass, I have been playing this game less and less lately (I haven't played a single club event this week, just EB and a few CVC rounds). Seriously, what is the point? I don't understand how some of you keep playing so much with such constant BS, maybe you can explain to me why you continue to play so much?

Yeah they should just charge 6000 gold for The Mr Oct box and 3750 gold for the All Star box since I’m only pulling players on the pity box anyway.
Not too mention I pull waaay more Bxp than Pxp or Lxp despite the odds saying otherwise.

If actually be happy if the odds were actually correct.  Unfortunately, that isn’t the case

    Did somebody say rigged boxes?
I'm confused by what you mean by 5.7 and 5.8.  You mean the round and level?

They aren't rigged, they clearly label the odds - and the percentages are so low it is ridiculous, there is a reason everyone hits the pity timer every single time. LikeNight is right, they really should just charge 6,000 gold for the Mr. October Box and 3,750 gold for the All Star Box - it is the same thing as now. Maybe it will help more people quit.

I dispute that they aren’t rigged, it’s why guys just keep pulling the same guy over and over. Regardless, we can all agree they are horrible and you have nobody to blame but yourself if you buy them.

That's one of the best statements I've read on here this year. I agree!!!

They need to do triple gold with these box odds.

The odds are what they are.   They have been the same all year.   Obviously the system has worked fine for Glu so I dont see them changing.
The reality is based on the odds, you need to expect to spend 50K for a good chance at a legend and 100K for a good chance at both.   If you want all 4 (both in each box) thats 200K.

I have basically accepted that I wont get every player I want because thats the way the set up is unless you are able to spend lots of gold every event.   Last year it was completely different and  I was spending gold on the recourses like mega boxes because those were alot harder to attain.

Except for the top player in each box set (which usually has been around 1%), you couldn't be more wrong. Prior to primes, the better BXP players in the boxes ranged between 10-20% (excluding the foil which was at 1%). When primes came into full swing, excluding the top/foil prime which was at 1%, the other primes would range from 3-7% depending on the day, with the other BXP players in the box being around 10-19%. Now that legends have come, for some reason Glu has reduced the odds on every prime player in the box down to below 3%.

I'm 48.5k in on just the 500 box, still no legend.  And that doesn't count specials, vip, and free boxes

Seems I had an opposite experience this weekend.   I have spent 27k gold, vip boxes, FP boxes, cvc boxes.  And I scored on the 250 boxes far, far more than the 500.  Both Legends were repulled once each.  🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice man! Whenever I pull the top player in a box, I always get a repull too (usually within a minimal amount of gold spend). Makes me believe the theories that odds are at least somewhat pre-determined for box sets (it's either your box set or it's not, no matter how much gold is spent).

Has anyone seen Reggie Jackson? I’ll believe he’s actually in there when I see it.

I have only got primes from the 250g boxes. Only lxp, pxp, bxp from the 500g boxes

I was able to pull all 4 legends in about 50k. That said, I was chasing Brantley for the top set which took about another 100-120k. He seemed to be the hardest pull this weekend for most. In my chase for Brantley, I didn't get any re-pulls on either legends in the 250 box. Sometimes your lucky, sometimes your not. Many struck out hard this weekend on both boxes, had a club mate open over 800 Reggie boxes and never got him, not a joke.

Wow. Not funny. I'd be pissed. Not really at the game but at myself for not knowing when to stop. Like the Kenny Rodgers song gotta know when to hold them know when to fold them and know when to walk away.

Thats the problem with addiction, and this game feeds on peoples habits. At least for me personally, I know that once I start opening a box, I wont stop till I get who I want. You just keep opening the next one, the next one, the next one thinking its going to happen... like a junkie trying to get his fix. Its a sad reality but this game is exactly that, most people cannot stop pulling.

I’ve limited myself to spending 2500 gold each time the new boxes come out. That also gives me the free rewards boxes. If I don’t get the top player in the box I still stop. I must admit I want to keep going too but I resist the impulse

Agree 100%, but the reality is, with the over saturation of players now, it is easier to hang on to gold bc that same position with the same skill set will likely be offered the next day.

Yes, we are aware of the game having crashing issues in the middle of WoH, but we can't compensate you for the gold you lost at this time. This is done on a case by case basis. - TSB Customer Service

Until they are a couple thousand in. You are exactly right... A very sad and sobering reality about this game, for sure

I too do that but only when it's a player I truly want. Like the Cal. Dropped 30k in gold never got him but picked up some key pieces in the meantime and a bunch of resources too. After the dust settles I was content. I still vowed not to do that again, to be a little more strategic about things. The Reggie Jackson yeah best legend so far but I know there will be better ones and he'll be recycled knowing this game at least 3 more times. Just chasing him through CvC and gift boxes hoping to get lucky.

I spent 82.5k on the 500 box and didnt pull a legend and that was after spending 60k the previous day chasing Reggie Smith and coming up empty.   However Hunter popped up in my VIP gifts and Trammel in my field pass box.
Last weekend I spent very little and pulled both Niekro and Chipper in cvc.

The reality this game isnt set up to get everyone.   You win some, you lose some and thats that.

which is why there is no reason for glu to change the odds.  Not saying people shouldnt do it.   This game for me is about trying to have the most fun that you can, whatever that means to you.

Agreed. A casino will never change the house rules lol, because the dumb asses (myself included) keep going back to gamble. But i've seen first hand, weekend over weekend. People spending thousands and coming up sort chasing players. I dont understand why this game is governed by the same set of rules as a casino is... I dont know how that stuff works either, maybe someone has some insight on the matter?

Agree 100% glu will not change the odds, the change has to come from us!! I speak from personal experience. I would aimlessly chase the player of the day spending gold and $$$, however this weekend  it really hit me, I chased Reggie, spent quite a bit and didn’t get him, I felt disgusted as hell for being so foolish! Decided that’s it!! Done chasing!!  Tired of giving glu my money for very little return, hopefully I can stay on track. The change has to come from me.

These types of low life businesses prey on people's weaknesses to get rich. Very predatory. Very wrong to exploit people like that.

Hmmm.... we do have the option to quit playing or not waste money.  Perhaps more people need to take responsibility for their actions vs blaming something else?
