These types of low life businesses prey on people's weaknesses to get rich. Very predatory. Very wrong to exploit people like that.
Hmmm.... we do have the option to quit playing or not waste money.  Perhaps more people need to take responsibility for their actions vs blaming something else?
I don't disagree with you on that but at the same time doesn't the said business also bear some accountability for predatory business practices?

Easier said then done, im not going try and and label or judge people. But a good chunk of people that play TSB are ex-addicts of some sort. This game is just a replacement for these types of people. And yes it should be on the onus of the person to stop and walk away, but many people dont have the ability. I was an alcoholic for 85% of my life, so I know exactly what addiction does to people. The point is, this game is not held to the same standard as it should be when it comes to gambling. Its not the same thing you say? Pulling boxes to obtain the top prize is no different then pulling a slot machine going for the jackpot win. Maybe im looking at this the wrong way, but that's def my view on it. The fact that my nephew is allowed to play this game at the age of 12 (I had to sign a waiver of consent which was a bad decision at the time) essentially allows minors to gamble on this game. Just depends how you look at it.

I actually remember your thread when you were trying to get your nephews team unlocked.  I agree that the game exploits those with an addictive personality.  While the “gambling” aspect of the game is suspect, my issue is that the odds are manipulated so that we repeatedly pull the same player despite the astronomical odds.  Not to mention the developers are in bed with certain players and assist them in exploiting the game which cheats the other players.
I'm confused by what you mean by 5.7 and 5.8.  You mean the round and level?

Glu is preying on people who have addictions for personal or corporate gain and that's wrong, severely unethical. Likewise it is the onus for people to walk away from such a trap especially having been ensnared in it so many times. I still say companies have a great obligation not to take advantage of the weak ie. the people that have issues with addiction. It's premeditated. Glu knows who they are going after. They can careless about the ones that don't have addiction issues but the ones that do it's like an all you can eat buffet before the coronavirus.

    Did somebody say rigged boxes?
They aren't rigged, they clearly label the odds - and the percentages are so low it is ridiculous, there is a reason everyone hits the pity timer every single time. LikeNight is right, they really should just charge 6,000 gold for the Mr. October Box and 3,750 gold for the All Star Box - it is the same thing as now. Maybe it will help more people quit.
I dispute that they aren’t rigged, it’s why guys just keep pulling the same guy over and over. Regardless, we can all agree they are horrible and you have nobody to blame but yourself if you buy them.
I agree!! The player that I keep pulling is Charlie Blackmon over and over and over, it’s ridiculous, boxes are definitely rigged! Enough is enough is time to hold these degenerate douche bags accountable!!

I’m not really sure why you guys are constantly complaining about box odds.  They’re not going to change anything, period. It’s the same rant week after week. Play, don’t play...buy, don’t buy. You know the odds are shït, yet you go in for more and more. These issues have nothing to do with Glu.

Oh, I understand the odds.  But this is beyond regular odds.  This is BS.  If I needed 125, or 150, or 175 even to pull a legend...I'd chalk that up to an anomaly. Bad luck even....but this is purely fixed boxes. 200 or 2000, odds don't matter if the preset result is already there.  1٪ or 10% won't matter.

I really don’t give a flying f..k about your opinion, if I choose to complain I will do so as many times as I please, if you don’t like it don’t read it or even better do whatever the f..k you please as again I don’t give a f..k about your opinion. Alright buddy? You got that?

The top mystery box players just come in waves. There’s no rhyme or reason behind it. Some weekends I’ll blow through over 100 boxes and get nothing, then the next I’ll land all of them without spending a drop of gold or money. It is what is. I definitely don’t look at the posted odds. I’ve been doing this long enough to know that they’re meaningless

I'm fully on board with the 'spend 2500 and stop' crew. sometimes it's your week and sometimes it's not. I was dry for a month before hitting in the last 2 weeks. got Hunter and Reggie with VIP rewards and 2500 FR on Fri. I realize I won't hit again until we get to 540, but oh well.

Maybe that’s the mentality everyone should take going forward, see how glu likes it!

I'm trying to distinguish the difference here between "odds" and "preset determined outcome".  My results clearly indicate it is not purely "odds".  You said that we know what the odds are, but I'm stating that I'll play a game knowing there's a chance (which I am stating is not the case here) vs a predetermined outcome that there is no odds involved (and i could spend another 100k gold and receive the same results san legend).

Ok. I tried to bite my tongue on this...
The odds are what they are (whether predetermined or actual)... but the people complaining about rigged odds/boxes don’t seem to realize what odds actually mean, nor how complex RNG is. I’ll give you a perfect example-
If you walk into a casino, and the posted odds of a slot machine are 1:100,that in no way means that if you play 100 turns you are guaranteed the prize. The 1:100 then becomes a probability (not odds). Odds are based on a higher scale with lower pools below.  This is what triggers the addictive mind..  you can be a realist, or you can be a calculated gambler, or someone living on posted odds. But don’t believe what you see is what you are entitled too. Thats absolutely crazy. It really is

Correct me if I'm wrong, back when the box odds were only visable from the ios side, weren't the odds based on number of pulls? Meaning, every 1000 boxes bought, the odds meant the number of players given in every 1000 boxes.  Glu needs to get back to that.

Even when the odds were posted (for iOS) they were still “odds”..   odds are the factual percentage of a much higher pool. They then get broken down into smaller pools...and then smaller pools. Point being, the overall odds stay the same on a higher pool level. It’s like flipping a coin and landing on tails 100 times in a row. It’s entirely possible, but on a larger scale the numbers balance out.

The fact that Glu uses RNG for boxes is the problem for me and many others.  Glu clearly uses other factors in the RNG for their own amusement, profit, and self proclaimed 'tactics'. This shouldn't be based on casino slots odds and further manipulated by devs.  If it closely resembles baseball card collecting, it would be more fun imo

I’ve changed my focus in this game. I’ve chased a handful of players in this game. First time I got who I wanted quickly (hooking me in?) but after that I didn’t. Now I have decided not to chase. Instead, my aim is to score good points for my club. If I can do that by pulling the 370 max players then fine. This w/e, I had Blyleven and got Grandal. With a few lesser players and the use of ice wraps I was able to be our club’s highest scorer. My efforts ensured we just held off a challenge to our top 25 spot. I’m pleased with my efforts for relatively low spend and I guess my clubmates are too. I’ll pick up the odd legend and earn some. Would’ve really liked Reggie but there’ll be others.

Obviously. But that’s why I said it. It’s the same people every few days that bïtch about box odds and how much Glu is out to screw us. If you don’t like what’s going on and feel Glu is out to get you, stop playing. Sometimes you get players, sometimes you don’t 🤷‍♂️.  It must get tiresome always whining about how this mobile game developer keeps bending you over. Remember- you signed up for it. Don’t expect it to change. Don’t like it? Download another app.

I typed out a lot of shit.  But its not worth it.  The "odds" aren't "THE ODDS."

So Bear is HALF right.  But so are they.  Players ARE getting scammed.  But players are also choosing to continue letting it happen.
