  • I'd prioritize Switch hitters, leftys and positions more than pennants.
  • Still have to spend 5000 for 3x Boxes. Last year it was 2500 gold for the 3x boxes. I'm not happy.
  • I did George Brett, Jose Cruz and Hoyt Wilhelm.
  • All my opinion but: Brett is the best player on this list, RHP is a top skill and 3B narrowly edges OF in terms of use as OF is usually plentiful. Now, considering Brett is your 3B, that eliminates your need for Lansford entirely. If you are desperate to pick a Righty with double lefty skill, I wouldn't fault you for…
  • RHP is way more valuable than LHP due to the prevalence of RH Pitchers in the league and therefore, this game. However, I get the reasoning that you might want a WOH ace who can hit LHP if needed. Based on what I am seeing, here is what I would do assuming you don't pull anything better between now and 2020. Lenny Dykstra…
  • I went platinum like 2 months ago and I almost finished maxing my lineup and honestly, what was the point. I recommend just staying Gold to people. You can build resources, level the latest players to max quickly, everything is beatable. Platinum is a no mans land and I can't even imagine trying to level my lineup in…
  • I just pulled ATG SP Wilhelm, so I have my Keepers sorted out. Brett, Cruz and Wilhelm will be my Keepers. Just have to make My Legend a Switch Hitter Catcher that can be my Lefty specialist.
  • I can't believe I'm not seeing more of this. They made WOH more difficult in general by adding an extra level, and then made the rewards worse, and people here are complaining about stickers? I went from cycling WOH here and there in '18 to not even bothering with it in '19 beyond level 4 or 5. My spending is way down…
  • I just pulled him, so I hope he stays SP so I can take him to 2020 as my Keeper SP, haha.
  • Got Brett the other day and Cruz today. Seriously considering bringing both and leaving Posada behind.
  • If you want a lefty killer, then sure go for Bench. I'd recommend double Runners On instead of LHP though. Depends on what other options you have. Double RHP is great since it activates so much, but LHP is more situational.
  • Those impulsive ego driven buyers guys are Glu's bread and butter.
  • Oh hello, I got Brett but this guy would likely be my 2nd Keeper if I could nab him.
  • My options are not fantastic. Brett is essentially a lock. I have: Lefty OF ATG Ted Williams 600, BO, RO Lefty OF Shawn Green 580, RHP, RHP Switch C Posada 580, RO, RO Righty 2B Johnson 600, RO, LHP I have a few other options (Wallach, Schmidt) but have narrowed it down to these 4. Leaning towards Posada. That Switch…
  • I'd pick the 560 max RP just because you can take him to Gold and he will likely be your top reliever all year. My concern with the 510 SP is that he might not really keep pace with your other SP's. It's hard to tell. I had 530 max SP Seaver as my Keeper pitcher this year (when the max last year was 550). I maxed him out…
  • I got 3 boxes from CvC. On the second one, I pulled him and am very happy. Def a keeper. Then, I pulled him again with the 3rd box. lol.
  • Same, I have 510 Alcantara and 510 Grienke. Same stuff rating too. One will be my keeper unless I get lucky between now and '20. Maybe VIP gift will help.
  • In my opinion, this is the list of difficult positions to fill in this game. Keepers for C and middle infield would be more valuable to me. I seem to always have plenty of OF and 3B to go around. C - Hardest, I usually make my legend a Switch Hitting Catcher just to avoid this spot. This is its own tier of pain. ... 2B -…
  • I'm also stuck trying to decide who to take as my Keepers to '20. I feel like we need to make a ranking list to determine the best options. I am deciding between: Lefty- OF ATG Ted Williams 600 max Runners on, Blowout OF Shawn Greene 580 max RHP, RHP Righty- 3B Tim Wallach 600 max, Blowout, LHP 2B Davey Johnson 600 max,…
  • Millennials are between the ages of 23 and 38 right now. As a Millennial myself I see people constantly screw this up when they mean someone from Gen Z who is 22 or younger.
  • Counting the shakes? Seems a bit superstitious.
  • Pulled Kingery. A Phils fan but yikes 2 CVC skills, what am I gonna do with him? I have Prime Segura in that spot (380 max) so I don't think it's worth leveling. I was decent at CvC last year but without the subscription this year I no longer care much for CvC. I guess he will waste away on the bench as I will save the PXP…
  • There are members of this forum who keep up with every available player added to the game. I have seen the spreadsheets but I don't have a recent version. If someone could provide a link that would be great.
  • I like hit his Hit and Power and his Late Innings skill. I could use another Outfielder so I will probably go through once and grab him, wouldn't power him up until the VIP gift comes out though, just in case I get better.

  • You don't need WOH skill in WOH, you can use skills like RISP (for rounds 1-9), LHP against lefty pitchers and RHP skills. Late innings is always active in WOH but also active in other modes, so it's actually better than the WOH skill. Lamahieu is great, Righty with two lefty skills. He will be your Lefty pitcher killer…
  • I don't mind it actually, makes it easier to say no to spending any money on this game. It gives me time to level more skills and stockpile resources for the next inevitable increase. I don't see the appeal for hardcore players to try and get someone with like 20 higher max overall all the way to Platinum.
  • My thoughts exactly. Might do a cycle to get him, but he wouldn't crack the lineup, just a temp WOH specialist.
  • I've generally always had an iPhone and I have no complaints. Most Android phones just seem like cheap plastic in comparison. To each their own. But I do agree that I'd never buy a phone for a mobile game.
  • About to cap in Gold, he is currently my Ace and has been doing a fantastic job. No complaints. Only Prime pitcher, my Keeper Seaver is SP2 and 214 overall in Gold (530 true max, 365 right now, 2.47 ERA in 3346 IP). 205 Arrieta (1.23 ERA), 196 Quantrill (2.23 ERA) and 190 Darvish (2.21 ERA) round out the SP. I still have 3…
  • No, but I have low expectations that it will be anything other than another pay-to-win mode. I personally have been put off CvC entirely due to the subscriptions they sell now.
