I've noticed today that low-level re-pulls (read: 4 star scrubs) are yielding more xp than advertised (~4k vs. the ~700 shown). Looks like this issue cuts both ways, but certainly hurts higher level players.
I believe silver tourney boxes will remain silver tourney boxes (and not convert to gold if you level up). However, withing a tier, the prizes are dynamic. I have platinum tourney boxes from yesterday's event that no longer contain Mallex Smith and the other scrub as of this morning. Some time before the next Royale they…
I cleared HOF with Didi 4 times at Platinum with skills maxed and Hitting and Power upgrades at 67/80. 5.10 is not a gimme and shouldn't be, but I was successful about 2/3 of the time and he cleaned up in earlier rounds.
I'm in a club with .3 level discount this weekend, so my first move is prioritizing leveling whatever strong players I pull this weekend - hoping for an Ace and solid bat with relevant skills. Then will level enough additional bats on Monday to be effective in WOH and allow my to cycle cap (fingers crossed for AT LEAST 2…
Update: I was getting matched up with platinum team anyway to I went platinum. GLU wins, and I’m still competing so I guess I win too. Time to shift my strategy around who to keep and how to level, but that adds a dimension to the game that I enjoy and is something to do.
I keep all my box pulls (bench space permitting) because Glu cycles old boxes in about a month later pretty frequently. I had Luke Voit at G2 and Joey Gallo at G1 which was a nice bonus for WOH yesterday. I pulled Voit twice from the May 4th boxes and got about 7k XP compared with ~2k if I had traded him in. With that…
For WOH Rendon is the best righty closer to date. I’ve been using 330 Francisco “one skill always active” Lindor as my lefty closer and he got me through 6.10 at gold level today. Soto is probably the best for all other game modes.
That's the impression I've gotten since last year, and why I stayed gold for 2019. I was thinking depending on the matchup algorithm changes, when you start butting up against the top of the Gold progression and start getting matched up with Platinum teams anyway, it may be worth jumping - but that hasn't been my…
I spend a lot of time playing the game, in place of spending money, and have since TSB2017. I stuck to Gold last year after playing Diamond in 2018 but I'm tempted to move to platinum if it's viable for F2P mainly to make WOH more interesting and maintain some level of progression. Part of this is likely driven by the…
I know ll about the resource requirements, I guess what I'm asking is more around player leveling and roster construction. For example, what do I need in start of pitching rotation? One Ace maxed at P10? 5 starters leveled to P3? Leave them at G10? Similarly for my hitters, should I Max by 5 best players or evenly level…
I've had great luck on boxes compared with odds for the most part. I have 4 two-skill max 330 players and only money I've spent this year is on a ballpark: Rendon, Betts, Lindor, Soto. I know it comes and goes, but I'm definitely beating the house for the time being.
We did see ATG keeper (Mantle I think) as a CVC bonus player yesterday - won't be surprised to see this sort of thing sprinkled in moving forward, and may be specific to ATG which gives them a nominal edge over a comparable max-600 non-ATG player.
I agree 100% - GLU hasn't explained this to me, it is just my observation of a bug and workaround for those affected while it still exists. GLU needs to fix it. No part of the game should be this fragile.
I have had this happen twice - once during beta and again today. The common thread in both those times was that I had the app open when the count was supposed to reset (5pm Pacific currently). I will make a point to close the app before 5pm and reopen after 5pm to test this theory, but I have done that every other day and…
It's a wedge of the field that you need to hit the ball within. E.g. the middle of the field (15 degrees on either side of 2nd base), or extreme pull. "Streak" bonuses similar to CVC.
Taking George Brett and Satchel Paige with me for sure. For my second hitter, should I: 1) Take Johnny Bench (LHP/LHP) 2) Take Rogers Hornsby (ROB/LHP) 3) Keep trying for a second left handed batter with two WOH relevant skills
