I finally won. I finished with Wong, Ruth, Engel, Schwarber and Bote. I almost spent the 80 gold to reuse Engel on 5.10 but Bote won easily despite beginning with both skills turned off (HOT/RISP). God, I need to work on my upgrades. I then pulled Chance Sisco. I hope he will be a bonus player for the BG event tomorrow.
I haven't even seen 5.10 today. I cycled 11 times last weekend. I have since added Wong and Engel.I'm 100% up through 5.6.I'm about 3-for-6 at 5.7.About 2-for-4 at 5.8 (Bote 0-2, Engel 2-0)And 0-for-4 at 5.9 with Wong and SchwarberI 80g boosted Wong and Schwarber on their video reboots.Wong even lost at 5.7. He's demoted…
Doesn't Kepler's lower PWR mean that he (on average) needs more hits to win than Freeman/Schwarber? He'll get more hits (great) but he'll need more too. Or will he? Kepler's SPD is significantly higher than Freeman/Schwarber. Does that mean he will take the extra base more often than Freeman/Schwarber in WOH?…
FWIW, when I went platinum I had resources to level only 5 regular position players (non-keepers). So I had about the same bxp you have now. My results in WOH were no worse. My G10 guys got me through the first five rounds of each level just fine. My results in BGs, prime and season mode were immediately better. My CVC…
IIRC, you'll need about 141k bxp to take Farrell from G10 to P10. About 47k for a regular player. To take a player from B1 to P10 8/8 is about 105k bxp (plus blue cash, gold and EVO).EDIT: that's with the 30% discount.
In your spot, I might hold out for an even better 2B. I pulled and levelled that Wong. 2b was my weakest link. He replaces 330 Gleyber. Wong is now my 3rd best WOH lefty behind Schwarber and Freeman, but I haven't had much trouble in WOH making it to Freeman and Schwarber. I levelled Wong because he was a big upgrade at 2B…
Last couple posts of this TSB 2019 thread also say yes. https://communities.glu.com/tap-sports-baseball-2019/discussion/comment/6808831#Comment_6808831 EDIT: I just now saw DFBB's reply.
Here's a thread about this from June 11 by someone that did actually pull him. https://communities.glu.com/tap-sports-baseball-2020/discussion/comment/6853993#Comment_6853993
5.1 is a lefty pitcher if anyone cares. My P10 8/8 80g-boosted David Bote is 1-0 against Snell so far. Luckily no app crashing yet. And I did pull Kepler. I wish he played 2B.
"For my custom legend, I require a 3rd base coach with double "go for it" skills." That reminds me of this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqupB5DpnU4&list=WL&index=2&t=0s The second runner is the guy in my avatar.
Also, if you're racking up wins on your record, there can be a cost to that too. I am referring to non-diamond teams not being able to win bonus games or tourney games once they reach a certain win threshhold. I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to have a good reason to level bonus players higher than B10.
Are you guys making back at least what you are investing? It seems like that would be hard to do, leveling a player that high (S10) that will be just be traded in a couple days later. The increase in club rank rewards and progress rewards seldom are worth more than the 4000 BXP (assuming 30% discount) it takes to level a…
I have some opinions on this. Hopefully, others will point out where I am wrong. I think overall rating should be ignored. I only consider HIT/PWR/SPD and skills. I keep my WOH roster updated separate from the app and print out my decided-on batting order for each level whenever I play. When possible, this is all decided…
There are at least two threads on 4.6 Tanaka. They don't explain why Glu made it that way. But they discuss it quite a bit. Search Tanaka if you're interested.
P10 8/8 (80g boost) Foil Alvarez just won on his first try at 5.10, and I pulled Schwarber! I'm glad I waited before leveling the Daniel Robertson I pulled over the weekend. Robertson never gets leveled now.
