For the record, when they "took it back", it basically just registered as if I had spent the 15k. I got the fan rewards up to 15k and my ballpark investment jumped up to Level 3.
Haha I'm just trying to think of ways to make this new style of WOH more interesting. The fact that it's laughably easy to beat now makes it something you can sort of do while only half paying attention, and on a boring weekend during pandemic times especially, I would totally grind through 25 of them if it meant getting…
Put me down as someone who STRONGLY prefers this year's WOH over previous. This year feels like you're being rewarded for putting resources into your team and having a good lineup and the grind comes from putting in the time needed to cycle 25 times. It's so much more enjoyable to actually be able to beat the thing, and…
I must say, this is the most fun I've had with WOH in a long time. I'm at 23 cycles now. It actually feels like I'm being rewarded for putting time in this weekend rather than just grinding against a brick wall of RNG. I'm at gold. Team strength is 115K. Closer is My Legend with skills (RHP/RHP) at 12/12.
Tap Sports 2020 was being advertised during the Yankees game yesterday on the YES Network. In the middle of multiple innings: "And now a word from Tap Sports"... followed by a quick 5 second Tap Sports ad read by Aaron Judge. I don't think Glu has anything to worry about financially.
Being F2P this year is the best decision I ever made. I manually played 1-1 and hit into 3 straight outs. As the game went to launch extra innings, I calmly quit the app and put my phone down. I'll check back in tomorrow.
Even with the injury thing, it seemed shocking that he rated so low. But then again, Glu knows nothing about baseball. They probably just looked at his overall numbers from last year and since they were low, it affected the rating.
Holy moley. I bought two boxes... first one was Honus Wagner. Second one was George Brett. That uses up my luck for the next decade or so. I guess I have my keepers for 2020 now.
I just beat it for the first time as a Diamond player. Pee Wee Reese D7 (502 current, 540 max) with skills (double Late Innings) at 16/14 and an 80 gold boost. Did I just get insanely lucky?
I voted for greed, mostly with the XP. The fact that the team prize for winning CVC is STILL just 1,500 regular XP is an absolute joke. I forget when it happened last year, but the team prize for a CVC win was 5,000 Prime XP for a long time. It motivated people to log on and help the team win. Now there's absolutely no…
Question for you guys about WOH on Diamond: I'm still pretty new to Diamond and this was my first time even being competitive on the last level of WOH, but I surprised myself and got to 5.10 today. I'm using Keeper Ichiro on Diamond level 3 (430 overall) with his skills at 12 and 10. With an 80 gold boost, I was surprised…
My entire roster was just re-set. I still have all my gold, XP, Season Mode progress.... but I lost every single player and I'm getting the "transfer your players from 2018" message. I assume it's a system wide issue, so I'll just be patient for now.
Another update for anyone who cares: Glu customer service was able to provide me with the gifts for beating Diamond Tier 1. An unfortunate situation turned into a happy situation very quickly! Weird that I got suspended, but it's all better now. Yay!
Well that was quick. I can get back in the game, but I never received my rewards for beating Diamond tier 1. I contacted Glu again through the in game customer service. That was a strange half hour.
Maybe the idea is that they have such a dramatic increase in difficulty and then they give us these amazing Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals that "we won't be able to resist to be competitive again". It's having the exact opposite effect on me though. A Black Friday special popped up for me: 25,000 gold and like 20-30 of…
