@navyjack77, it was quite pleasant. Maple syrup was a nice addition, too. Wouldn't order it as a staple, but I definitely recommend everyone try something like this at least once.
Mine came from a place in bumblefuck, GA.
Edit: Lack of wet wipes available was a negative, but we'll worth the sticky fingers.
Always wanted to try a donut burger but never have yet. That looks amazing
The Cronut Burger you’re referring to is ridiculous. Had it twice in 2 days, never to be seen again in Canada after a massive food poisoning outbreak from the festival that held it. I don’t say this often, but I would’ve died a happy man after I ate one.
Honestly the whole damned menu is fantastic...sadly they took away the sauces from the counter until further notice and the the booger eating bastard 18 year old forgot to put it in my bag. the Chinese Terrorists have won.

@Tdub71: there is a local donut shop here that I will use their donuts as a bun every so often when I BBQ.
A couple years ago I made some at home with the following:
Homemade patty (hot wife's secret recipe), usually a 1/2 pound in size
Applewood smoked bacon that I also put on the pit with a dab of syrup and BBQ sauce
Pepper Jack Cheese
Onion/mushroom mix I put together and cooked down
Cut a Meche's donut in half, and put the glazed side of the donut facing the meat/fillings then quickly put the burger back on the pit so the top and bottom of the donut bun could catch the sauces left on the pit, while melting the cheese into the onion/mushroom madness
I ended up making and eating three like this the same day.
Still one of my best creations besides my kids.
I did try a whole donut as the top and bottom bun, but found that to be overload, so I just cut one donut in half.

So I fired up the smoker this weekend and tried something different..I made a loaf of sausage out of 3 different kinds of pork sausage, then sauteed some jalapeno's, garlic and onion. topped with some good KC bbq rub and smoked for 6 hours..

French fries, cheese curds, shredded roast beef with gravy and a fried egg = heaven.
