Can team leader be replaced?

Our team leader wanted to leave. He offered the position to a couple of us on the team. We declined. Now he has been MIA for 2 weeks. Now what? If he doesn’t return can he be replaced? One of us will become leader if necessary.

    He can’t be replaced unless he delegates to someone else. I took over a dormant club 2 years ago. The leader hadn’t been online in over 100 days. I emailed CS and they said they won’t take any action on changing leaders. So your only option is to to get him back and have him assign the leader. Otherwise he is the leader forever.

    I had two teams but dropped the one where I was team leader. I told them I was leaving and asked one of them to step up. After a few days I said screw it and just designated it one of them . I then deleted it

    Nothing to do about that. Just have to hope he/she comes back eventually.

    I was thinking that also, but didn’t know what club stuff they might lose. But that seems to be the best option.
    Just a Silver team from the wrong side of the tracks, so what do I know? 🤷
