I've actually tracked my boxes and the return is pretty much what they advertise. 20000 gold sounds like a lot but it's only 80 small weekend boxes or 40 large ones. I agree with what More2Most2First mentioned earlier. You don't have to necessarily go solo though. Just run with the top guys in your club and merge with another good club when the opportunity presents itself. You really don't need the guys at the bottom. The top 20% of your club will be responsible for 80% of the points.

I haven't used any players with 1st Pitch in WoH until Frazier. I personally feel this is a non-issue. If your first pitch is a good pitch to hit, your second and third ones will be too. Frazier has performed really well for me so far.

A few times, I've hit in sharp line drive to right field foul territory and the right fielder teleported across the field to catch it for an out. Haven't seen that in a while though.

One thing I would add about the base coach upgrade is that it depends on whether you autoplay most of your games. You can't stop your runners from attempting to steal if you autoplay.
