I could be confused but I pretty sure it sends you to a website where you can pick from a list of places. When I got mine in the past I picked Amazon.

Curious how this went. My guess is, as has been the MO for years, they will listen to our advice and recommendations, then find a way to monetize the hell out of it and push players away. But hell you got a gift card out of it so it’s a good deal for you.

I can save you the time if you want. You can Voice your concerns. They will be recognized and no action will be taken on them because the higher ups and decision makers only care about how much money comes in. As I’ve said, their is no way they can look at this current product as good and a reasonable common ground to…

Lol no need for the praise it was an easy decision from a financial side. I still enjoyed “playing” but the cost and other things just became too much.
  •
I’ll just say if I can quit anyone can. I went from spending half my day on the game to nothing at all. Just gotta do it cold turkey and move on. If people haven’t quit yet just means they haven’t reached their limit like I did. The future of the game was very clear and it didn’t involve me. You either have thousands…

I just don’t understand how anyone at Glu/EA can look at this and think it’s “better”. Maybe enough people are spending to justify it and they are doing great. But if their goal was to alienate everyone who can’t spender $5k a week on the game then from my perspective I’d say they succeeded. There was a lot of chatter…

I’m 3+ weeks since deleting and it’s been great. I miss actually playing the game but I get updates from friends on what’s happening In the game and man I do not miss it and the cost is astronomical now. These things are either working and a lot of people are spending big bucks to justify the move or no one is…

Yep, I already admitted how wrong I was with champ tier. It was great the first season and they have quickly made it awful. This new 200k prime guarantee just makes it that much worse. The champ tier changes, this new prime set up all stink and they spent more man hours getting rid of minors to majors than they did…

I didn’t buy any specials, I spent all my gold to get Harper on the counter and get enough pxp to level him. I think I spent about another 50k on the box after I got him to have enough pxp. Old me never would have done that. I just don’t care anymore.

I’ll just add I’m not sure what they’ve done the last year (not counting what they did at the end of last season raising the odds, the game was basically over at that point) that would make you or anything think this isn’t the new system. Look how quickly they shifted the champ tier stuff and how quickly they want…
  •
Yeah I had 300k gold saved up so I spent it all, I’ll be done. Seemed like a waste to keep it there. Besides as the new champ tiers start coming we will probably start having to pay gold to level up tiers the rate this is going.

D5 is where I hit my wall on winning games, this was during Beta but it’s still tough from what I hear. If you are trying to rush to champ tier. I ended up spending 20k+ doing prime games to level up. You make up for it with d5 and d6 playoffs plus all the champ tier gold. Obviously if you are winning no need to do…
  • I’d take chipper and yogi. Most will probably recommend mantle but catchers are hard to come by and yogi has good woh skills. Chipper is for sure but yeah mantle or yogi.
  • If it’s between just those 2. Definitely mantle.
  • I was more pointing to your prior comment regarding Hoffman. But also last year Joe Morgan was an atg this year he wasn’t, but red was. I don’t agree with there choices and still doesn’t explain their lack of relievers, but yeah I promise vip council had absolutely nothing to do with that.
  •
I think people think VIP Council has far more control/input than they actually do. Having attended 2x now, it’s an awesome experience and while some things great have come out of it, it’s never anything that happens over night. I pushed for a long time to get an ATG guarantee which finally came this year. I have no…
  • Their legend pool must have been smaller this year. While disappointing I can’t be mad about it. I think my problem comes with the skill selection, but especially since Friday. Just been very meh players. With good skills red and posada coulda easily jumped In as keepers. I’m really hoping for a strong end these last…
  • I just think this setup it way to far towards needing it be in a top club go have any chance, and how many top clubs are there with availability? Ultimately a lot people will be left In the dark without being in a top club. If you need to consistently be top 3-4 club to hit all tiers you are cutting out most of the game.…
  • I’m probably one of the few but I spent significantly less in 21 than any other version, I cut back about 35-40%. Biggest thing, I stopped trying to compete in any gauntlet. I could spend forever and play all day and still be lucky to finish top 50. I still spend too much but my days of spending what I did before are gone.…
  • Yeah the issue will be when primes and legends come out because they for sure aren’t going to sending everyone millions of those XPs. I actually think keepers matter the most this year for that reason. You can cap them early and I fully expect them to be staples in your lineup for a long time, just given cost to acquire…

Way back when it was announced EA was buying Glu I remember a lot of people saying “good maybe they’ll fix the game”. But a lot of us tried to remind everyone what EA does. It is certainly looking to be the traditional EA squeeze. A lot of big club players are threatening to quit. While it remains to be seen that they…

I would be it somewhere between -100 and 0 that they do. I don’t see them going through all the work to put this setup together to revert before the new season even begins. I could be wrong but highly unlikely. I think we’d see a change in resources cost/quantity before we see them revert back

So to answer it, it is currently “possible” for me to get the same results for playing much less. As someone who averages 1 d6 cycle per day, I would actually get more gold max info out champ tier 70 than I would d6 cycling 1x per day. Now, with that said, we have absolutely no idea how reasonable getting to champ…
  •
Not if their end goal is to limit the “free” gold in the game. In regards to the assumption that champ tier 70 will make everyone whole who cycles 1x per day or less. While the math adds up, we just have no idea what it takes to get to champ tier 70. If it takes top 3 everyday, that’s going to limit a lot of people…
  • Assuming you’ve locked up a top ranking it makes 0 sense to continue to play an event. You need to rank well to have a chance to reach the champ tier 70 rewards to max out all the gold you can get from it. Not that is hasn’t happened already, but it makes no sense for a competitive player to not just merge clubs and lose…
  •
I’m not sure how great evo clubs will be. Without the need/reason to grind Bg and tourneys I don’t expect the gloves to be as readily available as prior seasons. My big concern is that all they is was push the major spenders further ahead. If you aren’t winning or ranking very well every event, it seems difficult to…

There is no silver life anymore. The game auto progresses you. There is no playoff. So once you win probably around 150 games you’re gold. So you can stay silver I guess if you never play any games except woh.
  • I average a d6 cycle a day, so with champion rewards “every few weeks” unless it’s giving me 21 d6 cycles worth of gold, it’s a huge step back. No d6 cycling means no gold for players, also means no field pas because what the hell am I speed playing for?
  •
Pitchers actually make a really big difference this year than years past. Abbot this weekend with the set is 450k per strikeout, in years past he was maybe half of that. Their issue has always been they are capped(most of the time) at 27ks. They put a lot of points up now, but it costs wraps. But relievers still are a…

I’m recommend the last Monday/Tuesday since he will have slightly better odds, but yeah reasonable decision.
