Gear Up Locked

Hi, playing through Gear Up I have reached a stage that requires you to use Lana - a superstar I don't have, yet. This leaves me in a state where I can neither play the stage or abandon progress: if I had a low-powered Lana I could lose and then sim previous levels. As I have none, I can't take any further part on the event, which is a shame.
