Can I restart an episode and regenerate my energy or does it just stay the same?

I was wondering if I want to quit an episode, does my blue energy regenerate or not?

Yes, in the main menu, the energy still regenerates.

When you quit the episode, you keep the amount of energy and health you had when you restart it. For instance, if I quit episode 3 with 5 energy and 80% health, I will have the same 5 energy and 80% health if I start episode 3 again, or any other episode.

I think anytime you are away from the game, your energy builds. So if you quit an episode and start it again in an hour, I believe your energy builds about 1 energy for every 3 minutes you were away.

I have gone back to early levels to build some energy, cash, or health and then quit to go back to the higher level.
