Why Fortify?

  Fortifying simply lets you re spawn to the nearest safe house if you were to die.

  When I first started playing, I worried that fortifying safe houses counted toward the end grade for the episode as a quest. So is it OK to not secure them and you could still get the A and skulls? I pretty much have to secure them now, since I have died in episode 9 more than once.
