crashing on kindle fire

I've been playing Zombies for a few weeks now and I'm totally addicted. All of a sudden today, the app won't open. I cleared the cache on my kindle but that didn't work. Restarting the kindle didn't help either. Any advice? If I uninstall the game and reinstall it, will I lose my progress? Thanks in advance!

    DO NOT UNINSTALL!!! You will lose everything. Can't help you on the fix though, but I may be in your same boat because I also have a kindle fire.
