As it was my first time buying a weapon from the Gold Skull merchant, I was checking the weapon bonus stats over a few days to get one that had over +15 Energy bonus. When I finally saw a Poison-type Shotgun (50 skulls) with a +20 Energy, Attack +43, Luck+11, I went to buy it, but after I see my inventory, all the bonus stats are DIFFERENT!
Now, I see a bonus of only Energy +10, Attack +35, Health +14, and Luck +5!! HUH!? Where did the Health bonus come from and where did my Energy bonus go?
I go right back to the Gold Merchant screen and the Poison shotgun still has the bonus stats I saw before Energy +20, At +43 and Lk +11!!
I was expected to receive what I paid gold skulls for, so now I'm out 50 gold skulls with a weapon bonus I don't want (apparently the only same stats were the Lv, 20, and base attack 613).
So is this normal? You can't tell what bonus stats you'll get from the gold merchant weapons? I mean, why do they show the Merchant weapon's bonus stats if it changes once it's bought?

It's called Bait and Switch. You got suckered by the folks at GLU.
This should teach you a lesson not to spend money on a game that doesn't seem to be actively worked on by GLU anymore.
Funny cause I purchased limited-time event weapons before when they announce only the stats, say a Poison Sword +100 Attack, but on the forums users report different base attack and repair HP even though they bought the same weapon during the event.
So the same case for the Gold Skull Merchant? When viewed before and after purchase, my weapon's Level and base attack were the same, but all the bonus stats were different...
-The prices are extremely high for temporary bonuses. You can't spend any less than $4.99 and to refill my energy would cost about $1.60. The same energy you easily use up in 15 minutes of gameplay. We're talking $6.40 per hour.
