Episode 3, military crate, uber weapon

Hello everyone!
I read a thread on how to defeat Sgt. Drebin at the end of episode 3 (tried different things already), and they said the best way to kill him would be with the Uber weapon that comes with the military crate. Well, I quit the episode and restarted it and didn't get the weapon but a pair of night vision goggles.
The problem was I have started episode 3 now 6 times! and every time I get to the military crate I always get these goggles, which I have been selling because I don't need all of these.
How many times do I need to play these objective to get the Uber weapon, or is there another way to get it beside buying it?
