Problems with Egypt in legendary mode

I can't get past Jackles Temple because the boss at the end won't die. He has no energy bar and it doesn't matter how many times I hit him or how long I keep hitting him for, he will not die. The same is true for killing Knum three times in one of my side quests. I am playing on an Amazon Kindle.
