I ended up going to Apple to get a refund. The issues plus lack of resolve and communication was maddening. Apple only took about 10 hours to side with me in teh case, so I am assuming that others have done the same and a case file is open on this issue.

Tell me about it. I am on holiday this week and was going to try to get into the top 5 for this tourny by buying the largest gem pack. At this rate I won't spend a single cent on this game again.

I'm waiting to see what happens on Wednesday. If it is fixed and I am compensated, I won't try to get a refund. I figured that the value of what I am missing out one now is about 1,500 gems. We'll see if GLU will step up to the plate.
