For folks that don’t want to spend a lot of money and gold chasing players, WOH used to provide a way to cycle cap decent players. Now they’ve taken away the opportunity to cycle cap players. I hope this isn’t permanent.
Do the losers get their cash or gold back by quitting? Other than screwing over the winner, what does the loser have to gain from quitting before the battle is over?
@iratepirate Haha. I remember one of Nintendo’s first ever baseball games was Bases Loaded. If the pitcher hit the team’s best hitter, he would charge the mound then get ejected from the game. I don’t recall another video game that charged the mound until A-Rod’s MLB Slugfest 2003 on GameCube.
Phil Niekro has a knuckleball in TSB19. It’s actually a fun pitch to bat against. When I notice Niekro is the SP in a bonus game, I’ll manually play the first 1-2 innings. I requested that CS add the knuckleball to Hoyt’s arsenal since that was his signature pitch, and they responded with the common, “we’ll notify the…

The CvC and Early Innings are always active, but they are rare. The Leadoff hitter is always active, but that hitter must be in the first batting position. The best skills that are most common are going to be your hot hitter and blowout - both should activate and remain active after the first time through the lineup.
It depends on the time. On an ideal day, I level-up to P10 then cycle to D10. I prefer P10 because Fan Rewards is not active and D1 requires 1,050 gold. It only works if you’re able to Autoplay the first seven rounds of each of the 6 levels. If you’re unable to successfully Autoplay, then there isn’t enough time in the…
I’ve had as much as 5 pick off attempts in a row. Don’t let that deter you. If your base running upgrade is maxed, you should be successful in over 80%-90% of your stolen base attempts. If you’re playing competitive Match Me games where runs are hard to come by, you should still attempt stolen bases since you’ll have a…
@fahhq2 About half of the folks on my club bought the Sandman $99 twice, but only 1 has pulled Rivera. He got it on the first purchase 14 boxes in. Everyone else received LXP on 100% of the pulls.
@TheLegend17 Not true when you have a capped reliever with an equal or higher rating than your SP’s rating. I have 580 Cy Young, Satchel Paige, and Kerry Wood capped at D10 with 20/20 skills. My 580 Troy Percival is slated as my setup man, and Percival pitches the 8th and 9th in at least 75% of all games played even when…
I recall Cy Young was released “for sale” for $99.99, but I don’t remember that Glu ever made him available to buy with gold. What’s the likelihood of Glu making Rivera available in a box you can get with gold?
It’s about time that Glu made a modern-day player an ATG! From my calculation, his stuff rating is ~677, putting him 17 points higher than 580 Percival. I would love to have him.
You’re probably right, but so far, I have Player Spotlights’ Kepler and Devers, and they’re still holding at 490 well past the date when they were supposed to drop down.
Many have speculated that 600 will be the max based on the timing of the prior bumps. ATGs have never had a higher max than the other Legends. They’ve been bumped to 540, 560, and 580 in accordance with the max of the other Legends. So I anticipate that if/when 600 players get released, ATGs will also be at 600.
I think he can. Previously I had 540 Toby Harrah with those same skills, and he had a great record against Babe Ruth at 6.10. Recently, I’ve been using 560 Ralph Kiner and he’s been just as reliable. I’d recommend capping Alonso at D10 and getting his skills to 20/20 if you want him as your WOH closer.
