Typically, you may not notice the real FIRE POWER until the weapon is fully equipped, or close to it. The GARMR is a superior weapon compared to the BLAZE. The damage rating doesn't do justice to overall capability until it's fully equipped, then you'll see the ratings aren't even in the same class.

The damage rating is AS IS without any upgrades. As you "equip" the weapon, this rating will begin to increase.

Getting a better weapon is ALWAYS a good idea, but you need to fully equip the weapon to reap the benefits.
