Try to totally block wifi connection. Switch to airplan mode. I once had a constant game crush which was cured by turning off internet for a while.

Did you switch time to speed up prep-kitchen? I'd try to set date some days ahead (to reach time when your daily goals are planning to reset) and pray that this would help.

I have a related question. I started actively playing in VIP Valhalla only after the latest buggy update. I wonder, in normal life without bug, do super-VIPs there double coins for same-looking 'regular' VIP? This feature isn't written anywhere, but I think it would be right.

Sometimes you are offered to buy Rare Coin Mystery Box. It takes silver to buy it and can contain gold. This is the best way I know. Unfortunately it's not always for sale and you can never predict, when you'll be able to buy it.
