Using hunting accessories

Is there an official help to describe and/or explain the use of the hollow point ammo, energy drink, etc in the dh2014 game? I have some of these resources available but am unsure how/when to use them. Can a help function be added to the game to assist in understanding/using of the games more subtle options?

Batteries recharge your infrared if it runs out, hollow points double damage (I think, I know it increases it), sports drinks slow animal movement down, and animal calls are to retry some hunts with kills still in place. If you were supposed to kill 4 animals but got 3 you retry starting with the 3.
I tend to rarely use them.

Playing dh reloaded I bought night vision goggles wondered why they worked once are paying 250 glu infinate battery needed 600 glu wish I'd just bought infinate battery for infa red instead would've saved 250 glu..
