App freezes on start up

Dh classic freezes on startup. It gets to home screen and then it freezes. I have the latest update on an iPad mini 4. I’ve tried with WiFi and without WiFi and restarted about 20 times already to no avail. I don’t want to reinstall because I don’t want to lose my progress. What can I do????
