At least for Android, a new weekly event just started for a Dino event. If you complete all three, you get a weapon that can be used for the new monthly event that should be starting next week. Unfortunately you need to buy weapons for this event, at 350 gold, in order to not have to buy a weapon next week that likely cost 50 gold. That's Glu math for you!
