    Thanks for the update,question is the gold/platinum rewarded in the game? Also do the bows need to be maxed out to complete the levels?

    platinum is rewarded and a bit of gold. No the bow and the crossbow do not need to be maxed out, at least not for the series, I am not sure if they will need to be maxed once you start the temple hunts. I am still trying to unlock the last three pieces which require playing an unknown number of rare hunts

    Introduction of a basically silent weapon is magnificent; really enjoy them. Best way to describe it is that it is a revamped game; amazing amount of details added. You will be happy once issues are sorted and everyone has it. Still working on rare hunt pieces; times bounce all over with them. There are boars in the lost temple though!

    The bows will need to be maxed out for the Hidden region trophy hunts. Completing those is how you win the 3rd one.

    I was able to finish the bow series in Region 4 with tuning at level 5, broadhead at level 5, grip at level 4, sight at level 4, stabilizer at level 5 and infrared at level 5. More infrared and an extra sight upgrade would have made the last hunt (4 rhinos with a lung shot) much easier.
    As noted, you will need to upgrade the rest later though.

    Should I buy the Westin Bullseye or the Grantham Tracker?
    The Grantham, while more powerful seems to have a terribly slow fire rate.
    Any recommendations?

    You'll need both to complete the bow series in regions 4 and 5... total of 90+110=200 Silver Eagles... just keep on hunting!

    Thanks Beerhunter, I'd just assumed they were in the same weapons category as they both came under bows, doh!
    Got them both now, and found all the pieces of the map. Really like the new locations, and looking forward to my prize at the end of it all.

    We need a crossbow with a faster rate of fire maybe a pistol bow and a siege bow will come later heres hoping

    Ufffff! Considering that the average is 9 eagles/rare hunt, and that the full upgrade costs 1,728 eagles, that makes 192 rare hunts. And considering that each rare hunt requires an average of 7 contract hunts .... that makes 1344 contract hunts. Maybe by Christmas 2016 I will have my Barton Hawk fully upgraded ....

    Lol, sorry when info can be a downer. I'm sure a new hidden region/way to get more eagles will come before then. Eventually all rare hunts lock and reports vary on whether or not enough eagles are earned to upgrade all. Yes I used gold to upgrade being a spoiled android user, lol.

    Me, too. Hawk fully upgraded and 1300 Eagles in the bank! :D

    Not looking so good on the iPad, though. It has been a real grind to win it and 2 regions have locked out already with zero upgrades fitted so far. :(

    Sorry I was being a little sarcastic, by best of both worlds I meant you got to breeze through with gold with android and then get screwed by the reality of not having that option with ios. All in good fun of course.

    I got the Barton hawk and it is completely upgraded,no gold only platinum. I've got 907 eagles and only hidden rare hunts still open. But I believe it will lock up soon. Playing on kindle fire HDX.

    No offence taken, I was just saying that I'm currently not using the main iOS advantage, that being the club hunts.

    I purchased grantham tracker as first (and only) bow thinking it would be wiser not to waste silver on the cheaper bow... However it won't let me do the bow challenges in standard 4 region saying I don't have minimum power bow requirements even though my bow is set to primary.. Do you have to buy the first one to complete region 4 or something? Thanks for any info..

    Both are needed because one is a bow and one is a crossbow.

    Ok so now all my rare hunts are completed and still about 20 upgrades needed for the Barton Hawk.
    Not wishing to spend gold on upgrades, will they be giving us more chances to earn Eagles I wonder...

    Most likely whenever a new hidden region comes out we will get platinum eagles again. Officially the Barton isn't needed for anything yet.
