• The Alpine pistol and assault rifle are being sold for gold only right now. Having said that - you are guaranteed to receive a region 9 pistol and assault rifle once you complete the tasks. It only took me a few hours and I got both weapons ;)

• Islander is right. Simply do not participate in this event and buy the region 9 weapons when region 9 is available. It is not free for developers to sit down and create a new region. Look at this Alpine event as fund raising :-)

The "trick" is to play the first hunt with normal guns and then they will offer you a one time deal on the event gun.
