• that is your mouse tracking speed isn't high enough. Go into control panel; Hardware; Mouse; Pointer Options; Select Pointer Speed. SlowFast, set it to FAST. check enhance pointer precision, and check "show pointer location when I press CTRL"

• I have found that if you increase your mouse tracking speed to maximum, it doesn't have this issue as much. Then check hold CTRL to find pointer, because at faster tracking speeds, you tend to misplace your pointer :D
