i keep getting knocked back lvs and lose used credits and all upgrades

Been playing for 3 days, and its happened twice. First time got dropped from Lv 23 to 7 after I restarted phone to help lagging and reloading. All that equipment I got from loots. I was frustrated and didn't like having to redo everything over with old equip, so I did some actions for free credits and got 3 bonus chests with good gear and a weapon. Redid the levels pretty fast with new items. Rebought 1 chest for 120 (80+40 for respin) and got an even better wep and got to LV 24. So I saved to cloud and then loaded and lost all my new equipment and credits n dropped me back to LV 12. 350 credits used on mystery chests plus more on upgrades.
