Before you join a room or initiate a room, see that you qualify to be in that room or else you'll be wasting your partner's as well as your own time as the game will be guaranteed to crash! This has happened to ios users and I am sure will happen to android users when the game is updated for them.
E.g. For Dragon's Lair you are told:
Green Dragon Level 15+ Players.
Blue Dragon Level 30+
Red Dragon Level 40+
White Dragon Level 50+
Black Dragon Level 60+
This problem can easily be overcome by using one molecule of your grey matter. If you are level 45 and you want to play Blackie, just start from Red Dragon then continue to Blackie, QED.
Except for Dead Spire, all onslaughts have recommended levels. Please follow the recommendations and don't bite off more than you can chew!
