Offline Play

I have a question: why can't we play the game offline? No aspect of the game is online except for the chatting in the lobby, which is pretty pointless anyways. So please make the game available to play offline; it sucks that I can't take my iPad out somewhere and just play; no, I have to have a constant connection to play a game which is, for all practical intents and purposes, an offline game. If I recall correctly I played EW2 offline all the time! Or is my brain's memory corrupted??

It's not gonna happen because it will be easier for some people to cheat. So better not let them do what ever they want offline.
