Mage nerf and current ranking among the three characters?

I saw somewhere on the forums that the mage was nerfed. Can anyone explain? I mean the skill descriptions didn't change or anything.

Also, what ranking would mage have if she did get nerfed? She used to be #1, undoubtedly. Just wanted to know before I start training my mage.
