unfortunetaly, you are not allone. Since the latest update I can't log on anymore (ios7.12, iphone 4). Before it was the chat function that didn't work, now it's the whole game thats not working anymore.
Tried to contact customers support but no answers. Looks like a major update fail :-/
I think I will probably be kicked out by my guild by now and doubt that glu will really be able/want to fix this
