Food upgrades or appliance upgrades?

Hi chefs. Which is the best tactic in your experience? Upgrading food first or appliances first (or decor even) or a combination of all three depending on how much gold you have available?

I try and get my food up one dot, then the cooking equipiment one dot each to get things out faster, then the tables and centerpieces up to get more tips per dish.. it's a long road, enjoy!

If I want to get coins, then food.
Speed, then aplliances.
