I'm getting to the point where I'm more than a little frustrated with updates for the Kindle. First of all, shouldn't the "holiday gifts" be independent of an update? The update before Thanksgiving, Kindle users missed out on one of the gifts. Christmas, we've missed one gift, and we'll probably miss a second one.
Really, we shouldn't have to change our device or be penalized just because we don't use iOS or Android. I'm on a 5th generation Kindle Fire 10". I like my Kindle. I don't play on my phone because the picture is too small.
