How can a chef get so far?

I just did a quick duel, and we were in the pizzeria. The only things to make were pizza and salads. No pastas, so this was an early episode. After the duel, I checked my duel list and this person was a Chef de Partie. How do you get such a high ranking, with so little experience?

That's because he may be doing well in other restaurants he has fully upgraded. Also, as far as I know, there is no upper limit to your rank according to number of restaurants you have gained 150 stars until I think sous chef.
