Learning Steps for Creating Dishes in Chef Arena

I just purchased Chef Arena and was thrown into a duel with no tutorial on how to create the dishes.

I assumed the dishes would be ones I learned in the restaurants, but none of themy are.

Is there a way to learn and/or practice recipes for Chef Arena, or does it really just throw you into battles, forcing you to hit the order bubble for the steps.

That's why I wish the show should have regular episodes alongside those battles long ago...

Well, there are the escalating boss duels, which are the closest thing to regular episodes in that venue. I don't think you get placed in a duel beyond the last boss you have prevailed against but I honestly don't recall. It IS a pretty steep learning curve in there, compared with the restaurants bc of the lack of tutorials, as you mentioned. Plus, the recipes and ingredients change with every weekly reset -- you must master the arena for 2, or maybe 3, weeks before you'll encounter the whole array of menu items/cooking techniques. I found it utterly baffling at first but after a month of play there (and opening boost slots) was fully prepared for duels. Now, many months later, I can complete the arena without boosts (although since the latest update Gordon seems to initially require much higher scores, 1400+ for first battle -- whereas I'm quite sure they used to begin a bit lower but escalate with each loss -- thus I've sometimes had to replay with a boost to win against that final boss. Beware that customers have always arrived far far slower during Arena duels than boss play, not just since the latest update which slowed the flow in all venues but since the beginning, so be prepared to compensate.

I dislike this painfully slow customer arrival, it essentially creates an artificial difficulty with no way around it that is until Rush Hour was released. Now that we have this VIP perk, Chef Arena has become significantly easier and it's starting to become a necessity in Duels.
