Gold Events Very Hit and Miss

I'm starting to get fed up with the gold events. I unlocked the new venue specifically because of the gold event so that I could try and get some gold to complete one of the other venues. What a waste of gold that was. So far with the current event I have got just a few gold. On the FB forum that I am on most people are complaining of the same with just one or two saying they are getting lots of gold.

The game seems to be so unbalanced where gold is concerned.

Just need to have a moan about it as I'm getting fed up with being an active player making such slow progress in the game!

I won't say gold is easy, not a chance! I have good luck so far in Carnevale Steak using vips fast feet, auto chefs and deconstructed halwa for each level. So far I have 260 stars and got 57 gold. I have a few tricks if you want them, but I don't want to put them on message boards for glu to fix. Just pm me if anyone is interested.
