Zombies ate my friends: Energy not recharging/inventory slots disappearing.

My energy has stopped recharging. The countdown clock is at 0:00 and my energy has been at 0 for the past few hours. Don't know what to do.
Also, my inventory slots keep disappearing. Like if I delete/sell an item, the inventory slot goes away too. For one of the inventory sections, I had 6 slots, now I have 4.
