Gold hearts

A bubble popped up on my task list which said "Collect items with gold hearts for a bonus when starting dates"
Anyone have any idea what this means and how do I actually get the hearts?

    Go to your closet and collect items marked with the gold hearts to score higher praise from your date. The higher your heart rating the more bonus you will receive when you start the date.
