Stuck on Show Time quest

hey guys i have a quest called Show Time that tells me to act in 2 different TV shows. I'm level 20 and right now I havent recieved any new quests from anyone. I tried calling Simon but he never books me TV shows.

I'm having the same problem. I have no other quests available except Simon's continual gigs. I've done them for a few days, hoping a tv appearance is in the rotation, but I haven't gotten one yet.
I really hope I'm not stuck at this point. I'd really rather not have to start the game over.
