Help! Game Center

I was wanting to post a thank you to someone for gifting me but I have no idea how. I don't even have a pic or status on Game Center. How do I do that. Everything I have read says that there should be a picture and status above my username to click but I don't have that.

You can thank them in your status which you can do by clicking on the blue speech bubble when on the "Me" tab To have a picture you need to add it yourself

That's just it. I don't have the speech bubble or even a "blank" picture. 😩😩 I took a screen shot how can I upload a picture?
