Hi, so when my charater goes on a date the date always says she should of made a effort?, I've tried changing clothing etc before starting the date. Any tips? Could it be I need more the the stars&hearts?

Yeah, same was happening to me. You have to build up your wardrobe (hearts and stars) for your dates to be impressed.
