Proposal Question Glitch? I need help ASAP

Okay so Dirk asked me if we were getting serious and i selected no... but now i can't get the proposal question for anyone, i have like 5 people at max and i keep going on dates but none of them will ask the proposal question. did i somehow ruin it for me and it won't work now? should i restart from the beginning? i'm not sure what to do.. so if anyone has any answers or suggestions i'm willing to try anything to get this to work again for me.
