From what I've read, this only happens on iOS, and not on Android. Android and iOS have several differences in the game. This is one of them, I believe.
This isn't fair I thought it was a problem with my game, or maybe with my husband, but what you said makes sense now. It sucks. Will they fix it for Android players in a future update? I think it's not something complicated to do, then it is not fair do not add on the game. It's so simple. We both players deserve the same things.
