You have to go on a date with someone, and keep going on dates until they ask you to get serious and they should ask you to marry them later on. I'm thinking when the bar is almost full but I was lucky enough to gift a friend and when I went on the first date with him, he asked me to marry him. I'm not saying it'll work for you but just sharing my experience.
