I was wondering-do I HAVE to get married in the game if I want to be more successful?

And can I change the look of my partner-I do dress him but can I change his face or hair?:o

You will earn fans for getting married and progressing through those quests.

At this time you can't change hair/face of your partner. So, make sure you like that part of them.

Seems like I can date more than one partner?
If I brake up with one do I stay on the same place in the list as I was with the old one or I go to the beginning with the new partner?

You can date as many folks as you want (even when you're married lol). You start over on the list with a new partner.
