Why does my rank keep changing?

I have the goal in the game to get into the top 100. I am at about 160 right now but I have been as low as 125 a week or so ago. It seems to drop and then go back up at random not in relation to what I get in fans with my jobs. Anyone know why?

Hi. It's not really random. It also has to do with other people in your friends and contact lists. Like a See saw, the higher they get, that moves you down sometimes. Could that be it?
