If I decided to choose the comeback story quest, will I lose everything including cars and private jet? Or is it just the fans that I lose?

Oh no. You only lose fans. It knocks you down you level, your rank and your fans. But you keep your clothes, home, furnishings, experience, cash, stars, everything else stays yours.

Have fun with it, The extra 3 Energy Max is really great, the clothes are awesome, and it's fun to start all over. Just be careful about those snotty people who can't be bothered with you till you're top 100 AList. They are just as insulting as ever. lol.
